I just finished my 1st auto trans rebuild. Thought I could fix anything so I gave this a shot. This is in my 1984 Mustang 302 tbi. I did the direct clutch upgrade (Alto). B&M shiftkit. C overdive servo to a B. And a Kevlar OD band. I went through the valve body twice. My problem is I cannot get a normal 2-3 upshift or downshift. It will shift if I release the accelerator and give it gas again. The od shift is fine. The 3-2 downshift occurs at a stop and with a definate clunk. So I,m scratching my head wondering OK I did something wrong, but WHAT! Any help on this would be greatly appreciated. Have a great day.
