This is from the 1969 Ford shop manual so I hope it helps. 1, Disconnect clutch return spring, 2, Loosen release lever rod and adj nut, 3, move clutch release lever rearward until it lightly contacts release lever fingers, 4 adjust rod length until it seats in release lever pocket, 5 sais to use the right feeler gauge, then tighten lock nut, 6, install clutch return spring
