RAT vs RAN

Thanks for the info on these trannies. I never new they were that different. Are they both considered 3.03 transmissions?

One more question about the Jeep trans. The one I picked up is from a 4WD so has no usable mainshaft (aka output shaft). I am hoping my toploader or SROD mainshaft will fit.

Did those Jeep trans ever come in 2WD versions, with a proper extension housing and mainshaft?
