The transmissions are expensive to begin with and the cost of an adapter and mods to install the transmission - shorter driveline(s), new cross member, throttle valve cable kit, new converter and so on.
What are your final drive ratios now? are they low enough to make use of an o/d transmission?
Are you going for more economy?
