Response to Re: Tests |
| Fluid level and condition are good. That is the first thing I checked on the side of the road when the tranny started acting up. How do I check the line pressure though? I'm guessing a gauge in the return line...
In theory, is there a problem where the FWD clutch is not applying completely and thus slipping while everything else is good?
I just noticed this and my other post here just collided...
After building up speed in the tranny, downshifting will "brake" the car like it is supposed to, and I can feel these shifts nice and crisp. This is how I know that the High/Rev clutch and intermediate band are fine, and so is the pressure to these mechanisms, but the symptom is that I cannot accelerate and build up speed because SOMETHING is slipping causing the engine to rev with little forward movement.
Thanks for your replies and help. |
