Simple question. If I install the tranny cooler (which has a barbed fitting) to a bare, straight, steel line (has neither a barb fitting or a flare) with a small 3 inch piece of hose and two hose clamps, would it leak? Am I be better off adding a barbed fitting to the steel line or should it be ok like that? I know ATF is quite thin, but how much pressure runs through the lines? This is C4/C5 transmission.
