How long should it take me to r&r this transmission? all the other transmissions i have rebuilt i took my time on, but this truck i am on a time crunch and just need it running and driving reliable asap.
would it be possible to do it in a weekend?
Can i get away with not having some of the specialty tools to keep cost down? What are the bare minimum of tools i will need for this transmission?
I am trying to get reliable transportation so i can move off base and this is whats holding me back at the moment. Most shops in the area are asking $1500 and up to rebuild the transmission, and i cant see paying that much since it would take me longer than i would like to save up that money, and that will delay moving off base even more.
