Response to Re: Update : To Galaxie & Stuart Anderson
So now I don't know what to do... The rebuilder took my transmission apart and rebuilt it for the 2nd time now, and replaced the reverse clutch steels with the "dished" steels that I provided. Additionally, they found that the little hole (pressure relief hole???) in the drum was clogged, so they were fairly confident that was the culprit for the hard slam into reverse from Park. Not so... Car still slams into reverse. They have now rebuilt this thing twice, replaced the valve body twice, replaced the pressure regulator twice, replaced the steels with dished steels, and even dicked around with the TV linkage... Nothing has made the slightest difference, still slams into reverse from park. So upsetting... I just want this thing fixed. Looking to bring it somewhere else, for a 2nd opinion... Any words of encouragement???
