This is my dads old car that sat since 1972 or so, the engine looked new inside prior to replacing the timing, cam, etc...and the transmission was replaced by the dealer 3 yrs prior to parking the car (not sure why). Its the cuiseomatic..Its mechanical (no vac), and the dipstick still has the B9 part number on it. The car has 50,760 miles on it, the trans has about 1200 miles on it when parked in 1972.
The trans squeals a bit, it was 2 qts low, so I put oil in, and it does get better when driving. Also, drive gear never engages. manually shifting I have 1,2 and reverse..no 1:1. Although the car is geared so high I really dont want to drive around at 60mph and 3k rpm...lol.
