I'm rebuilding my first C6 and have a question. My C6 is out of a 1971 Ford F100 2WD pickup truck. When I dissassembled it, there was only one Torrington needle bearing in the transmission located in the forward clutch drum (according to my manual, it's washer no. 3). Some of the manuals and exploded views seem to suggest that there is a second Torrington needle bearing on the other side of the planetary. Is this a design change or am I missing something?
