Hello, I have a 66 merc parklane ,410 motor that wont shift in drive. I have found that the kick down rod will not return to its home position as it will not let the actuating lever on the carb bell crank return to the rest position. The kick down lever on the transmission sits at about the 10 oclock position and when you move it manually it will go to the 9 oclock position. The car shifts fine from 1-2. I am not sure where to start with this, should i pull valve body or could there be another area to look in. Thanks for your time. Regards Robert
