460/C6 into a 1970 F100

Ok here is where I am. I have put a 1976 Lincoln 460/C6 into my truck. The arm on the side of the trans the linkage connects to broke. How do I remove this piece for replacement. Can I use 1 from a Lincoln or car or does it have to be for a pickup?
