I just reassembled my 4r70w tranny (this is my first rebuild) and I noticed when I rotate the shaft I have a metallic rubbing sound. I have taken it apart several times to determine if this is a problem and I can find nothing wrong. No parts are missing and everything appears to be in correctly. The noise is coming from the direct drum. Since there is no fluid is this just friction noise? Is this normal?
