Hello all, first a little background. I bought my 1990 Mustang GT about two and a half years ago and had to let it sit for about a year or so while I was in Hawaii. During this time, the transmission leaked all the fluid out. It was driven from the storage area back to my house (maybe 3 miles, give or take) where it sat until last week when I was able to put some work into it. I found out that the gasket had broken and, after replacing the filter and gasket it seemed fine. My problem is that it still feels like there is no transmission fluid in it. It will stay at about 3000 RPM before it will shift, and usually I have to let off the gas and hit it to do that. I was told that it needed to be driven around to circulate the fluid so I drove it to work and back (about 24 miles round trip) but that didn't do anything. A friend of mine thinks that some tube (not sure exactly what he is talking about) is pinched and that won't let the fluid be pumped through the gears, while my brother said that the tranny fluid was burnt and so my transmission is most likely toast. Any advice before I start looking for a rebuild/replacement? Anything would be appreciated.

      Mike
