I just swapped out the FMX in my 70 Ford F100 for a C4 and the guy who owned the truck before me had the shifter on the floor and i can't figure out what the shift pattern is becuase on the FMX all the way up on the shifter moved the shift link all the way back on the transmission for park and all the way back moved the shift linkage all the way forward for 1st is it the same on the C4 as the FMX or am i going to have to find a new shifter to put on the floor?

If i have to change the linkages and shifter does anyone know where i can get the right linkages to make my cloum shifter work?

If the shift selector is in the same direction (up) for both then it's no problem. If one is up and one is down then you need to find the correct selector.

You can swap the C4 linkage 180 degrees to make it match up to the floor shifter or you can buy a new shifter made for the column shift C4. I think you are going to have to get a new shifter because the quadrant on the FMX is different from the C4. (one has a longer throw than the other)
