Hi everyone, I'm from aus with a 77 f100, Cleveland and 4 speed manual. Does the toploader share the same input shaft OD and splines as the t18 and np435 gearboxes? Is the bellhousing to gearbox bolt pattern also common between the toploader and t18/np435? I wish to add a ranger overdrive between 4spd and bellhousing, made by advance adapter. It is advertised to suit toploader pattern. Cheers

Well since no one else answered, I'll take a stab at it. I'm pretty sure that the transmission to bellhousing pattern is the same.

However the truck transmissions appear to have a larger input shaft than the usual car ones, perhaps the same as the (rare) big block 427/428/429 style.
