a few weeks ago my rear ujoint went out on the way to work. replaced the joint at work and tried to drive home,but now i only get 1-2 forward shift, and neutral seems to be half in gear and half in neutral. also when in reverse it seems to be partially in forward, but will move allthough not like it used to before the ujoint went out. 2-3 shift it goes into neutral. had to drive 50 miles in second gear to get it home. i have no idea what could be wrong now. i am decent with auto repair, but not too knowledgeable with transmissions. i could really use some help please.

do you have a blinking OD light?
I would run the codes first, and check that the shifter is hitting the detents perfectly on the transmission

my o d light and button are missing. i have not checked the fault codes yet.

ok its been awhile since my last entry. ive been busy with work, and had a severe sinus infection. i just blinked out my stored codes, and i get three different codes 639,656,and 659. as of rightnow i cant find anywhere that has codes higher than 565. im really stuck now.

code 639 is speed sensor input insufficent. code 656 is TCC slip. code 659 is undefined but is most likely a result of the other two problems. Change the speed sensor first and re-roadtest.
