I have a 69 Ford shortbed pickup with a 360 and the old granny 4 speed. Was wondering if the C6 will just bolt up or am I gonna have to deal with custom stuff like tranny motor mount, driveshaft length etc.
I swapped a C-6 for NP 4 speed in my 76 F-250. Bought a clapped out rust bucket truck with the 4 speed I wanted. Swapped out everything I needed from one truck to the other and scrapped the left over carcass.
Not as bad as it sounds as every part you need is is one place....your yard!!
I saved a ton of trips to the wrecking yard/parts store and got a whole ton of spare pieces, parts and misc hardware out of the deal.
Wish I would have kept more linkage etc. from the C-6 as I'm now in the process of swapping a COM for a C-6 in my 58 Fairlane
