Sorry folks, but due to the obvious high water there will be no "Clean your Lizard" trip on Saturday!
The good news is it will go down again, and we'll have another chance!

Dang! I wanted to get my book autographed! I walked down to the rapids below the Hwy 169 bridge this morning. The water is flowing fast and straight. The ledge upstream had BIG standing waves! Yes there will be other days.
It is truely amazing how the river changes thru the seasons. The full plant growth creates a whole new feel to the area. I took Dad's stripper down the South branch one evening, about two weeks ago. Had to portage around a large cottonwood tree that blocked the whole stream bed. Bugs were relentless, but still a great way to spend and evening.
Speaking of spending an evening, perhaps you could take me down the DSM river thru Humboldt some evening. I have not paddled that stretch and would like to try it.
As I look at the gages, the Lizard is coming down! Tomorrow might work! Take out at P41?
I'm going out to mow now, so I can get in some paddling tomorrow!
The West branch Des Moines is a Hoot!! Any Time, I'm ready, just give the word!!!

How does 9am sound? I emailed a few others, so we might have some company. Nate will be at Gotch Park Saturday afternoon thru Sunday morning, We'll get that book signed!

9am will work great. I can be at the P41 bridge. If you get some responses from others and a different time will work better, my time can be flexible. If you have any change in plans just post them here.
