We just returned from running a short stretch of this river. It was beautiful. Saw lots of wildlife and NO people. Water level was great at 460 cfs. I would highly recomend this river. We did the stretch from Ozark bridge to Crab town bridge.

Yes - it is a pretty neat little river. I went on it for the first time a few weeks ago, from Whitewater Creek to Ozark bridge - very remote & ruggedly wooded area almost makes you feel like you've left Iowa.

What section?

Where did you put in and take out? How many hours did you spend paddling? I'm always looking to put more detailed information on distance/time/flow for the local rivers.

Thanks.
Pam

We put in at the ozark bridge. It is just a few miles north of Canton. The trail to the river is fairly steep, but it's worth it. The trip is about 7.5 miles. It took us just under two hours, with a short stop for lunch. There is a nice riffle just past the put in. The take out is at the Crab town bridge, it is marked on the river. It's a nice take out on river left Hope this helps.
