National The Department of Justice (DOJ) has filed before the Office of the Court Administrator of the Supreme Court (SC) the complaint of members of the religious group “Ang Dating Daan” (ADD) against the alleged bribery attempt of their leader Bro. Eli Soriano to a judge who handles his case.
The members of the Church of God International, popularly known as the ADD, earlier trooped to the DOJ after Soriano admitted in a meeting of their group that he gave P500,000 to an unidentified judge to exenorate him of his pending case.
In response, Gonzalez wrote SC Court Administrator Christopher Lock for the appropriate disposition of the alleged bribery case.
In their letter to Gonzalez dated Nov. 24, 2006, the complainants stressed that the DOJ should also find out where the “bribe money” used by Soriano came from.
The complainants suspect that Soriano might be using their funds for other purposes that are not related to their supposed religious activities. (PNA)
