Help with ID please

January 2 2008 at 8:04 PM

I was wondering if any of you might be able to help me identify these handcuffs. My boyfriend is convinced he has something here but after reading some of the previous posts on this forum I am thinking not. I just can't pass up a chance to say I told you so

Tell him "I told you so". They are modern junk made to look old. They come from Pakistan and can be found for under $ 20.00.

Nice gas welding and brazing, just like they did in the late 18th and early 19th centuries. Just take the old acetylene ond oxygen tanks down to Ye Olde Welding Shoppe and fill 'em up.

And who could ever forget the many thrilling exploits of the Georgetown Plantation Police. Never mind there was but a few municipal police departments in the United States in four or five big cities.

Yup, he got something okay - took.

Have fun with this one.

I used to think that these cuffs were all fakes but in light of this new evidence, I may just have to change my opinion.

You can get them by the dozen for about ten bucks a pair. Great American Trading Company, IIRC.
