I'm also preparing a web site, but slow in learning about this
stuff. Not sure I know what direction I want it to go
(Houdini, restraints, promote my magic performances, ...).
Anyway, I believe Damon will be joining us in Indy, so many
of us will have a chance to meet him. I'm looking forward to the convention, and for those who aren't going, it's not too
late! Holiday Inn East, 6990 E. 21st St., Indianapolis,
Sat & Sun April 25-26. Most of us are coming in the Friday
before convention. HOpe to see you all there.

Damon, Great site, congratulations.
Best Wishes to all, John Bushey

Petchi, I like your part on restoration. Could you explain how you do it (in English, my French is a little too rusty). I have a whole bag o'cuffs that could use an acid bath.

Cheers

Nils

It is very easy and the result will be fantastic
With GOOGLE you will find with the word ELECTROLYSIS

Below a diagram for your help
Photobucket

With the photo on my website you will understand now the intructions
Photobucket

Anyway have a glance at this french website. By looking just the pics you will understand easily

http://id19p.over-blog.com/article-5643668-6.html

Last very importante thing: OPEN THE WINDOWS !!!! The room has to be ventilated

Better use ELECTROLYSIS outdoor or in a garage or barn. I made the mistake to try it in the kitchen (on Napoleonic grenade fragments not handcuffs). And the effect was that after 5 hours the whole kitchen was covered with very fine white powder (evaporated NaOH*). Needless to say that my wife was not happy!

I prefer HEDP-60 to clean rusted cuffs.

Best regards,
Guenter

*NaOH is a better electrolyte than washing soda
