Stage Prop Shackles?

Interesting. Is this something homemade or does it serve a real purpose?

Somewhere on this forum these have been discussed before and I don't think they are real shackles.

I have an identical set. They were given to me as a gag. As I understand it, they are a part of a puzzle. There is a piece that is supposed to be "captured" by the contraption, but is missing.

They are "restraint sized."

Hi, this is know as the handcuff puzzle and can also be made with two horse shoes ( also connected by rings). The missing part described by Dennis is a steel ring.(smaller than the max.height of the restraints) The aim is to remove the ring which sits across the connecting rings. Most magic or fun shops sell varitaions of this puzzle. This one could be very old.
(the method is a twist of the cuffs)
