ebay 110356291444 RARE salesman sample DARBY NECK COLLAR handcuffs w key :
Looks like an Indian made darby end lock to me. How stupid does the seller think us collectors are ?
how about a real name and email address or don't post.
If you can take the time to type " Anonymousini " why not your name.

I would assume that JT can use what ever he wants in his auction descriptions.
As for anon's not using their real names, One real good reason not to would be:
1. Who would want to be looking for a new job and have the prospective employer
do a google search on your real name and come up with some of your interesting posts
on this website ... ??

And who'd pay $650 if he said it was a cheap indian made darby end lock? At least he isn't claiming John Wayne once wore it in a haunted insane asylum.

This thing

Is a typical screw key Indian padlock. The same kind used for document boxes and a pile of other things. Pray tell, why would any Indian or Pakistani shackles salesman need any kind of miniature "sample" to get prisons or police to order? Especially in India. How silly.

It looks like a typical Darby pattern end lock, and appears to be of Indian manufacture. But it is not the Indian junk that is commonly available. The bow appears to be forged and has what looks like considerable chain wear on the lower part of the arc. Either wear, or it was forged to a profile. The hinge is a folded strap like the current junk, but actually appears to have been forge welded. The patina looks real.
The item looks authentic, just not as described. As for the $650 starting price, well, the number of bids says something.
