Hello everyone,
I was surfing last night about 3:00AM after a magic gig, and came across
some internet stuff on next October's Cannon's Escape convention. I saw a "tease" about some handcuff collection display board that they will have there. It sounded significant. I thought I remembered that it may be up for sale or viewing??? It sounded very interesting. Today, when I awoke, I can't find whatever site I was on. Has anyone else heard this, or know about it, or can they tell me what site I was one or where I saw it??? I don't see it advertised on Cannons site today.
OK-OK--I don't want to hear it, I was really really tired, and can't retrace
my steps from last night. I first thought of the SAM board with the original
Russian Manacle. But that's considered "Hazardous Waste Site". Then, my thoughts went to master collector Mark Lyons, but I've been to his place and it's not displayed on boards. Goerge Hill collection?? Thats in storage right now and mostly inaccessible (But one of the most incredible collections around). And, George and Mark wouldn't be selling their collections. Anyway,it peaked my curiousity. Should I be trying to save money??
Just want to know where I saw it so I can read it again.
I'm old school when it comes to web browsing and until last year never really utilized
the web browsers history to find websites I have visited and forgot to bookmark.
Good luck.
It came in an email

You saw it in an email they sent:
"HANDCUFF COLLECTORS INSIDE TIP ALERT: We have it on GOOD AUTHORITY that a very special Antique and Replica Handcuff Collection/Board will be present at our convention and made available for sale for the very first time! Hint: This collection was publicly viewed in the past few months.........."
John,
As long as your going senile, Can I "borrow" your McKenzie Mitts?
I promise to return them when/if you ask for them back!

Thanks all,
It was an email I read. Mark and Sheila sent one. Still wondering about the
board. Lindsey, What McKenzie Mitts. I sold mine last year. OH yea,
I got another pair. If I can find them I'll send them your way. What about the
Jim Main boards. I hear they are in California now??? Gotta admit, it's
bugging me. All I can say is I hope not too many cuff collectors are out there, because that leaves more for me. haha. Hey who's going out to Ontario this year?? I know Stan is, Lyons, Gordon Gluff, Fred Pitella, Me, Terry Roses,
Elliot Cutler, Joe Fox, Cannons, Lars, Michael Busch, ???
Ron, Brad--you guys coming?? Damon?? Love to get Jon Oliver, Ray McKee,
and others out there too. Michael Griffin??? Come-on - lets make it the biggest ever! Margarette, Kevin & Kristen, Joe Tanner???? LET'S SIGN UP!!
Work so often prevents us from life's true purpose. Sharing it with those who
love escapes and collecting restraints! Best, John

Hi John, I hope it is the board from the SAM museum with the Russian manacle.
Good chance it is,the threat may have passed, asbesto is old news, and swine flu is the rage now.
On that board is a unique Palmer cuff which is different from others. Where the screw is positioned, the area around it is rectangular and not circular.
I have asked around and no-one seems to have seen one like it.

Does anyone know if "replica" cuffs were featured on either the Main or SAM boards?
I never heard of anything but real vintage cuffs being displayed.

Definitely be there. Someone has to watch Brogan while the rest of you are trying to get out of cuffs.
