HI all,
If I am understanding what's out there in Romers, here is what I have heard.
There is a large and small handcuff, the difference being in the bows. One is more oblong than the other more half-round bow. Then, there is a small leg iron
and a larger leg iron. The bodies of these are different. Here is my question:
I believe there are two versions of the small leg iron. The bodies are the same, and one has the round bow, the other a more oblong bow. I have photos
to prove my point, but can anyone verify this?? The large leg iron to my knowledge only has one size, with even the body being larger. Some of the "small sized" leg irons are known to only have one chain link, so it could be used as a very large handcuff, or a small size leg iron. So, let's start posting our photos of Romer handcuffs/leg irons and see if indeed there are four, or five, versions out there. Thanks, John Bushey.
PS--I'll post photos of small and large handcuffs - bow size different.
I'll also post two different bow sizes of the "small size leg iron".
Can anyone out there verify what I'm talking about?
A Romer catalog would help, but I don't have one and don't think I've ever seen one. I've contacted some padlock collectors to see if they have a catalog.
