I'm watching an episode of Alfred Hitchcock on Antenna TV as I type this. It shows a nice close-up of an Oregon Boot. Gary Merill even explains how the lock works and the key to the boot. The name of of the episode is appropriately called "Manacled". Enjoy!
I remember seeing this episode on TV long before the Cannon Convention.
I tried to find a copy of this for a long time to present it at the convention but could not find it for a very long time. At the time, I wasn't even sure it was a Hitchcock show or not.
I located and wrote to the president of the Alfred Hitchcock Club to see if he could help me.
He actually told me that no such episode exists and to check with the Twilight Zone President to see if there was an episode related to that club.
I was pretty convinced that it was a Hitchcock show and finally tracked it down.
I was happy to share it with all the collectors at the Cannon Show a few years ago.
Everyone seemed to enjoy it.
I do watch the show on the Antenna Network but missed this one.
They have The Jack Benny Program on too. I really like that show as well.
In the previous blog, I mentioned Mel Blanc. Mel often appears on Jack Benny as does Joe Besser of The 3 Stooges fame.
Last night, they had Alan Hale (Skipper on Gilligans Island) on as the manager of a gym where Benny was working out. Very Funney!!!
If you have it-Check it out!
