wich will take place in The Hague / Wassenaar, Netherlands on

Saturday October 6th 2012

The traditional pre-convention dinner is on friday night, October 5th .
We have arranged hotel rooms for our guests from abroad.
Dinner, stay-over, breakfast and the main event are located in one building,
wich is not far from Amsterdam- and Rotterdam airport.
Transportation can be arranged.

Hi Patrick & Dirk,

Can you put me down as a provisional booking?

I plan to attend & have put in a leave application for that weekend. As soon as I (hopefully) have it approved I will confirm.

As it is in The Hague I will probably fly to Schiphol & get the train from there.
I did this last year when I visited the Hague Prison.

I would recommend this to any of you guys that arrive early or are in no rush on the Sunday. They have a collection of restraints & some nice cells you can go in.

As I say, I will probably fly over which means I will not be able to bring a selection of items. As some of you know I work in the Airport industry, but I still cant get anything in writing about being able to carry Handcuffs in your carry on luggage.
Although you are allowed now (if you can prove a good reason), I dont want to be in a position where they say I cant bring them back. I spoke with security staff at the airport I work at & they were unaware that you can now carry handcuffs, so you can see my point.

I am going to get in touch with the airline I would be travelling with to see if they will give dispensation to carry cuffs on there flight & fingers crossed I will be able to bring some items over. Failing that I will have to put any cuffs in my hold baggage, so I wont be bringing anything of value, in case it goes missing.

I will keep you informed.

I have made a note in the diary so please book me in. Not too sure how we will get there but will probably use EuroTunnel, guess it is probably about a 4 hour drive from Calais??

Did you say the convention is in a Hotel where the Friday evening pre get together dinner is being held? Patrick can you advise me on booking a room for Jenny & myself.

Ah yes, the La Massenotte...

The connecting hardware would have been a deadpan giveaway on those cuffs. I have also considered these for the unofficial, official handcuffs of the famous French Inspector Jacques Clouseau, though I think that the LA PEGY (DEPOSE) would be a more befitting model.
