This may not be news to you but it was a surprise to me. I guess with Hiatt gone ASP has felt free to clone the UL-1 handcuff. I guess there was a vacuum to be filled.

IMHO the Hiatt design was better because it was made of STEEL and the middle keyhole couldn't trap a key.

Actually I thinkl this is a better design as on the others the keyholes are on the inside when folded, and if attached to an object when folded there is not enough room to insert a key to release them.

Thus I beliece these to be a safer design.

i think asp is not a safe design
this model i also pick in a split second even double locked
and yes you are correct the hiatts fold to the lock
but is you use a long key this is no problem

ASP being compared with Hiatt Ultimates?.....The Fisher Price things do not come close to Hiatt quality, IMHO.
