Law Student at the moment, but also work in a sort of fee free Law Practice giving legal advice too. I'm just about to do Media and Entertainment Law, copyright etc so I'll let you know the ins and outs!
Good copyright Lawyers are on a couple of mil a year though - so I wouldn't have thought it would be cheap! Also, they don't tend to advise you whether its WORTH copyrighting, only if you CAN. I know that some of the time people are fooled into thinking they need to copyright when in fact they don't actually need to. Music is difficult too - as you know from all of the cases in the past with Oasis where people have said they have ripped off their tunes etc. These things cost hundreds and thousands to take through the courts and are extrememly difficult to prove!!
