Leisure Now - Fruition at the Luton Summer Festival
The Luton Summer Festival, where great new bands from our area get a real chance to appear in front of a crowd of shoppers, music lovers and tramps in the heart of Luton town centre.
The stage is set and as the day dies down, or indeed revs up, the shops close and the weather remains OK it's time for apparently hotly tipped sensations Fruition.
I liked it, it was punchy and cool and ten thousand times better than The Kooks from whom it seems the lead singer has stolen his hat.
It makes one wonder how bands really do get recording contracts because it certainly doesn't seem to be anything to do with talent, these guys could wipe the floor with most 'chart sensations' they just need a chance.
Luton Summer Festival could have been that chance or it could have just been a rocking day out, who knows but I enjoyed this band immensely. |

I've been saying this to all and sundry since day 1!
