A Shame

Yeah, it's a shame that this forum has declined so much. The decline really started after the ill-fated contest number 10. I think that caused a lot of people to leave. Of course, the original concept of the forum was based around former members of Bryan's Unofficial Moderated Minolta Forum that had moved on to other cameras, and that group of people has a limited pool. Still, we also attracted people that arrived from other places.

My first post here was on April 16, 2004. I posted a picture taken with my Dimage 7i. Speaking of Bryan, I first posted on his forum April 22, 2002, and continued to post until I basically switched to this forum.

Bryan's forum, and then this forum, were really the basis for my growth in photography. My first digital camera was a Sony Mavica FD7, with a floppy disk, and I was basically at the point-and-shoot level. It's been quite a journey. I mean, compare this:

That one was shot on tripod in low light, at ISO 1600 1/125 sec, f/2.8 at 34mm.
