Sad to say, the kid must have taken a few too many pucks to the head, or did a few too many headers on the soccer field. As if Canada would be living peacefully, in a nice safe little world, if the USA hadn't been picking up the chit for the past 100 years of defeating totalitarianism. The Islamofascists are merely the latest, in a long line of would-be worldbeaters. Canada is going to be learning a LOT more about them, in the next 10-20 years, you can bet on that one. The appeasement model proposed by these lunkheads will fare poorly, in the historical view, just as the appeasement of Hitler in the '30's now looks like the most obvious insanity.
Plus...it's always high-larious, to read D's self-serving diatribes on how serving in a half-assed, peacekeeper boys club uniquely qualifies him as an expert on the art of soldiering, and world affairs. It's even funnier than his egotistical tirades of days gone by, concerning his mercurial rise to the juniors of hockey, which uniquely qualified him to know more about hockey than anyone else on the internet. LOL!
As I've patiently explained previously, my family, going back three generations in America, has served more, and suffered more from war, than any Canadian blue-helmet could ever dream about. Vietnam claimed my older brother, fu## a duck. The fact that I didn't enlist, when I graduated from h.s. in '77, when there was no war to fight, probably shouldn't be held against me in a discussion of American/international military matters. Conversely, John Kerry's trumped-up 4 month tour, and subsequent acts of borderline-treason, don't automatically qualify/disqualify him for the Commander-In-Chief role...but you do take them into account.
