The Left is pretending that this newly-declassified doc predicted the 9-11 atrocity. Good grief! Have they NO shame, given the failures of the preceding administration in addressing this mounting problem? Of course, Clinton had "mounting problems" of his own, ba-dum-bump. Couldn't be too bothered, with capturing terrorists, while trying to save his own a$$ from the GOP jihad.

Of course, you could read the doc yourself, and decide whether it contained "actionable intel," as the Left is proclaiming far and wide(and wrongly):

The failures of US intelligence ops in fighting off bin Laden, are pretty well-documented by now. "Why America Slept," by Gerald Posner, remains the best book I have read on the subject so far. A long New Yorker piece also focussed on the long-standing feud and distrust the CIA and FBI held for each other, which kept them from cooperating or sharing info with each other. Our two main intel-gathering orgs were often kept busy investigating each other, while our enemies plotted and learned to fly(but not land) airliners.

Blaming Bush's fledgling administration, and his security advisor for the 9-11 atrocity is so far out in left-field, it's over the wall, a home-run for revisionist-chutzpah. That CBC report I mentioned yesterday, incidentally, went all the way out there with this canard, pretending/predicting that this was the smoking gun that would derail Bush's re-election campaign once and for all.
