.....I have zero experience with the Navy, though I know it's a different way of life, it's not easy...and even as a clerk or cook, on ship, you'd have two or three secondary duties, very taxing on the body when you're deployed...so I'm told. Frankly, if anyone were to ask me these days, what should they do if they want to join the Military, I'd tell them to join the Airforce, get a tech job, spec pay...see if you like Military life, all the while learning a trade you can use on civvy street, just in case. I originally wanted to join the Navy, after several talks with a good friend at University... it may be the best way to see the World, though many of those days you see nothing but water and sky...but you do end up in places where most Canadian Army guys will never go...D'
