I guess it's impossible for you to grasp the issues that have led the US to lead in the war on terror. I can't think of anything more insulting to the body politic of the US than to define the ousting of Hussein as Bush's personal vendetta. Congress approved the enforcement of UN 1441, and you clearly believe that the vote was a sham because Congress was "misled" by Bush.

You and smike give way too much credit - and assign way too much blame - to our presidents. Hey, I don't expect Canadians to take a course in US civics, but the least you sould do is understand that the US government is ruled by a system of "checks and balances". Bush made the case that Saddam must go and Congress agreed. If that bothers you, then maybe you can understand why those of us who disagreed with Chretien would also hold your political system (and electorate) accountable for his decisions.
