Rall is such a "type"...

Unfortunately, a type we know all too well, around here. A "puke," for lack of an uglier word.

Anyone can say "George Bush stole the election" 350 times a year. I can even draw some stick figures, and have them saying "It's all about the oil!" That would hardly make me an amazing journalist and social commentator, would it?

I've been reading Rall for a long time, thanks to my long-term subscription to "Funny Times." When I was defending Clinton's harmless beejers from the sweaty-palms Special Investigators on the Right, he was pretty funny. Now, he's lost his perspective, and hasn't gotten with the post-9/11 world a bit.

Rall sees things in one shade only: "America Sucks, Man!" It's very hard to be smart, topical and funny when you refuse to see more than your own thin point of view. Witness, "The Pukes."

Forget CNN, Al-Reuters or CBC. Rall reads some Chomsky and Fisk, maybe goes to Indymedia a couple of times a week, and then sh##s out some lukewarm, tired-a$$ cartoon about it. For all intents and purposes, he has repeated the same tired lines over and over since September 11, 2001. It's long past time, for a new gimmick.

This cartoon is his nadir, to date. He's had some bad ones, previously, but denigrating a man like Tillman is unforgiveable. I think he's going to see some repercussions, in the national media. Maybe that's what he wants. He is good friends with Janeane Garofaolo, after all.
