is not whether Bush is doing a poor job of handling Iraq. The key question is whether he is doing a better job than Kerry. Kerry is on record as saying the terrorist threat is exaggerated and should be treated as a law inforcement issue instead of a military issue. We have seen the results of what happens when it is treated as a law inforcement issue; for the first time in our history, more dead civilians than military.

This is a poorly done poll. A question of "is Bush doing a poor job of handling Iraq" is a leading question which will influence the answer. Psychologically, most people want to go along. A question of "is Bush doing a good job" would have yielded a different percentage. Regardless of the question, the answer tells us nothing. If 55% say poor and 39% say good, this poll counts those that are dissappointed Bush hasn't nuked Fallujah yet, for example, as a "doing a poor job" opinion.
