I saw one where O'Neill said he was in Cambodia and the very next sentence was "I was near the border". If you are in the Kerry camp desperately grabbing anything to discredit the Swiftees with I can see how you would interpret this one way. O'Neill says his second sentence amends the first.

Either way, this makes no difference. O'Neill is not running for President and so far two of the original Swiftee claims have been admitted to by the Kerry campaign. The first is that they admit he was not in Cambodia at Christmas and the second is that they now admit his first Purple Heart might have come from a self inflicted wound. You are fighting points they have already given up on.
