Response to But, he was right
then you have just proved the fool is not even competent for any elective office where the subject of national defense may come up. Think about that statement, Rob. No threat? The entire Cold War was just made up? The Communists never established a base 90 miles South of Florida? Never stocked medium range missiles there? Never tried to destabilize the governments in Latin America and install sympathetic governments, fighting with bullets democracy and free elections? Never sent long range bombers to penetrate our airspace? Never invaded South Korea and South Vietnam with surrogate armies? Never invaded Hungary, Czechoslovakia and Afghanistan with their own armies? I spent too much time training in tanks to shoot at Russian tanks and teaching other young soldiers how to shoot at Russian tanks to think there wasn't a communist threat to America.
This also answers Jes's queation about most American posters here voting for Bush. Unfortunately, Kerry also believes the terrorist threat to America is an exaggeration. The man is a fool and his world view has been proved wrong by history over, and over, and over again.
As to the first part of the quote, he did not just accuse GI's of committing war crimes, he accused them of the mass committment of war crimes on a daily basis with the full knowledge and orders of their entire chain of command. That is a lie. A damnable, contemptable lie.
