I think every man here has expressed some reservations about Bush, in one respect or another. Nobody ever said he was perfect, or that he was batting 1.000 on his decisions in the War On Terror, or the economy. The imbecilic attacks from Up North, like the vapid carping of the Far Left, have driven most of us to take up more extreme positions in defense of this administration, than we would normally have done.
Now that the election is over, with no lingering cries of "Cheat! Cheat!" hanging over him, we'll see how his second term pans out. Now, the economy, and the War, are his responsibility, along with his kitchen cabinet's. Can't blame his predecessor, and he's got a Republican Congress to work with, for at least the next two years.
It's time for Dubya to establish his legacy. How we think of him in 4 years, could be drastically different than how we think of him today. |
