......the Bloc is poised to sweep Quebec.
Charest's provincial government will be gone by the next provincial election.
A Conservative government will mark the first time in Canadian history that the governing party will not have a seat in Quebec. Yeah, I know that Harper is doing the proper thing by making appearances in Quebec and getting decent candidate. But we all know what the old Reform grassroots of the party (particularly) out West think of Quebec.
The Bloc will totally play the "anti-Quebec card" to fire up the previously dormant separatist movement.
I don't think this is necessarily a bad thing. Imagine the great hockey rivalry between the two countries! | |
