DaBroons.....

.....It's making me sick. I'm starting to hate NHL players, some days I wake up really missing the games, other days, I'm soooo glad they're not getting the ridiculous money they want. I wish I could say with all honesty that I'd be happy if the NHL never got going again... but that's not true at all. Despite the stupidity, and how the entire League has blown off the fans as if we didn't matter a schmick, I still want to watch the NHL. I do feel bad for some of the vet players we had come to love and respect for so long, going out in a whimper, rather than the bang they have earned... but they've done it to themselves really. It'll be sad not seeing Stevie Y playing again. Or Messier getting the chance to pass Gordie Howe. Forsberg might be gone for good...the list goes on. Bastards!!!

.....I haven't seen more than the odd highlight for the AHL, maybe half a period, but I wasn't really paying that much attention...I think it was Manitoba playing, just couldnt' get into it. I have watched most of the Memorial Cup though, it's been quite exciting. Crosby, Perry...they're fun to watch. I also caught most of the World Championships as well, pretty much all except the finals, though I did see some of it. Team Czech was impressive, a little too much for Team Canada to handle.

.....As for as Iraq is concerned, I too applaud the Iraqis for stepping up and attempting to grab democracy by the horns...my fingers are crossed, I'm hoping we'll see progress there. With that said, we still differ in opinions about The War Against Iraq vs The War On Terror, it's not the same thing...but as I've stated before, now that it's been started, the War Against Iraq must be seen through til the end.

.....As for trying to figure out the damage caused to the planet by Texas' most dangerous cowboy, you're right...could take a long, long time. The optimist in me however wants to believe the healing can start in something like 1300 days, when he's punted from White House. If we're lucky...and I say "we" to represent the entire planet, hopefully the next guy to take the Presidential Oath won't be as blood-thirsty as his predecesor...D'
