Response to D', if I recall correctly, most of your posts at that time connected the American soldier
.....There are always going to be squeaky wheels, who cry foul at every opportunity...but I'm not convinced I can buy your assertion that NOT A SINGLE detainee was tortured, in either detention camp. Even if I accord to you the widest of lines between abuse and torture, I have no doubt the line was occasionally crossed. Shoot DA, even during various commando courses and exercises, that line gets crossed every now and then. Even if I was to believe only a portion of the stories told to me by American and Canadian Airborne soldiers during exercises, courses and deployments...there is still an element of torture conducted during such exercises as "Escape and Evasion", or the "Commando Course"...and other exercises, and that was by friendlies on friedlies, for training purposes. I'm apologizing to you right now, because, though we may never truly know for sure, I just can't believe the line wasn't EVER crossed...D'
