I was speaking more to the swing on the Red Sox pitching depth chart between last year and this year. Lost Pedro, lost Lowe, and Schilling was mediocre at best... they brought in Clement (who I think can play better) and an inconsistan-due-to-age Wells. I think picking up Beckett could give them the ace they need, just like when they picked up Pedro years back.

Not sure why your Tigers aren't opening the wallet Octo. In the last sport without a cap, I can't quite figure out why they only spend in the "average" category.
