1. Economy - Record government and personal debt that keeps on growing. Record trade deficits. Jobs going overseas and a lack of middle-class jobs being created in the USA (Creating Wal-Mart jobs is nothing to be proud of). How many trillions spent in Iraq? For what benefit?
2. Education - The 'left'? How simple-minded of you.
My g/f was a teacher in Orlando, and according to her...
a. She was forced to pass kids lacking in reading skills thanks to Bush's "No Child Left Behind" BS.
b. Her union wasn't allowed to strike. How can a union be powerful if it's illegal to strike?
c. Random Drug raids, kids committing crimes, kids coming into school starving (They gleefully ate the carrots she gave out). Fun.
d. Parents expecting teachers to babysit their kids and do the parenting for them.
e. the Turnover rate is extremely high. What's the % of teachers that retire at or before a year of teaching? 20%? 30%? She left after 1 year because of the horrible conditions.
3. If you worked for a Canadian firm of any sort, you'd quickly realize how few rights Americans have in comparison. American employers can fire you for surfing porn sites at home, being overweight, and even being Athiest. Take a sick day? Get fired in the USA.
In the USA, you have "Right to Work", which is really more like "Right to Fire". Employers don't need any real cause to fire you.
4. Human rights - You must be a sheep if you have no idea how your rights are being violated on a regular basis and how much the government wants to spy on you. Do you know they were asking Google to hand over their search queries for the past year? Did you know Bush was spying on his own citizens?
