I've seen two grown-men reduced to whimpering babies by kidney stones in the past year, and I really don't like the prospect. One guy, our computer-tech at work, suffered for a week before he finally passed the jagged little stone that was killing him.
That Dilaudid sounds like good medicine, though. I used to have a drug-addicted acquaintance, now long-dead, who talked about the "cartoon-world" effects of Dilaudid. Said it was the greatest drug ever, and he should have known, having tried them all.
I didn't realize until the other day, that Whittle had been involved in the History Channel's "Shootout" series, which I've been watching since they started a few years back. They do a great job of reconstructing the battles.
