Egads...

Well, the inexperienced, smooth-talking con-artist appears to be winning. I voted for McCain-Palin, but in a weird way, I'm almost relieved that Obama-Biden get to deal with the monumental challenges coming their way. The country lurches leftward now, but it will come back to the center, as most Americans really aren't in favor of higher taxes, redistribution of wealth, and all that socialist jazz.

Obama's not the Messiah, and his followers are in for a rude awakening on that score. I just hope he doesn't cause us to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory in Iraq, and I also hope he keeps his campaign promise to go hard after bin Laden in Afghanistan/Pakistan. I still want that fu##er's head on a stake, or at least confirmation of a Hellfire-missile hit. Wishful-thinking, I know.

No matter how bad a Prez Obama turns out to be, the country will survive. I'm not going on a 4-year bitter bitch-fest about the election, like the libtards have done for the past 8. I'm going to be too busy, trying to put two kids through college, and keep my job in the worst economic situation Michigan's ever seen. Plus, life's too short.

I think McCain was up against monumental odds in this thing, and did very well to come as close as he did. That last economic meltdown was the last straw for his campaign, and for the GOP in general this cycle. It isn't fair that the GOP took the blame for the fiscal crisis, but that's politics.
