      Almost all production in Canada comes from Crown properties; private ownership of minerals is almost non-existent. If your benevolent government desired they could cut the royalty and affect the price at the pump. On second thought, that would be similar to a tax cut and they would probably have an aneurism and drop dead. On third thought, worse things could happen to you.
